I grew up with entrepreneurial parents who taught me the art of business connections, processes and marketing of a small business. I saw what it looked like to start a business from a vision made in a living room.

Being a first-generation college student, it was hard to learn how to navigate the corporate work culture, and systemic barriers with lack of mentorship.

I was overworked, undervalued and struggling with understanding my authentic self.

Then I focused on inner healing, living a fulfilled life, and becoming more accountable to myself. I became the JEFA of my dreams! I was the boss of my reality and I was loving being authentic to my inner child and making my ancestors proud.

I took my challenges of working in a predominately white field filled with gatekeeping and competition; and refocused my narrative to understand my worth and build my confidence.

By age 32, I reached a 6 FIGURE Salary, mentored over 30 first-generation Latinas recognize their worth, build their confidence, lean into their passions, values, and strengths to be fulfilled with their Jefa goals. I have built a business dedicated to uplifting others to realize their full potential.

I want to help you build your JEFA mentality!

What is Jefa Mentality?

Jefa Mentality is a term used to describe a mindset of female empowerment and leadership. It emphasizes the importance of women taking charge of their lives and careers, and supporting other women to do the same. The term "jefa" comes from Spanish and means "boss" or "leader".

Jefa Mentality encourages women to embrace their strengths, speak up, and break down barriers and stereotypes. It also emphasizes the importance of self-care, self-confidence, and resilience in the face of challenges.

Overall, Jefa Mentality is about empowering women to be strong, confident, and successful leaders in all aspects of their lives.

How can you build a Jefa Mentality in 3 easy steps?

#1 Embrace your journey!

Take time to reflect on who you are and what has made you become the person you are today?

Re-write your narrative and own your story (trauma and all!) See example below.

"I am a survivor of sexual trauma and I work towards helping other feel supported when they don't feel like they have a voice. I struggled finding mine, and now I am helping others find theirs." instead of "I was the victim of sexual abuse. I wasn't able to speak up for myself. How am I supposed to teach others how to?"

Understand that you are the JEFA of your vision.

Work towards your vision, make a plan and stick to it. If you are the Boss, you are running the company and your dreams don't work unless you do.

Stop waiting for people to understand your vision and what you see for yourself. Don't let other people place limitations on your dreams. Be in charge of sharing your vision and make it clear for others to understand (but don't wait for acceptance!)

Trust that pressure builds diamonds "diamantes"

Becoming a Jefa requires you to have resiliency and a tenacious spirit to not give up. Remember, that the road less traveled will not come with instructions, but your continuous spirit to keep your eye on the destination will help you become the Jefa of your dreams.
